Wellness is not just the absence of disease! Most diseased states take 15 – 20 years to produce symptoms. We all have the opportunity to prevent disease, look and feel great, handle stress more effectively, increase vitality and wellbeing and slow the aging process. The C.H.E.K. Nutrition and Lifestyle program evaluates your current health, lifestyle and nutrition status with a series of in-depth questionnaires. Your Nutrition and Lifestyle Coaching package also includes the Advanced Metabolic testing appraisal used to determine your individual Metabolic Type. This test will reveal the correct ratio of protein, fats and carbohydrates, as well as the correct foods suited to your unique biochemistry, thereby allowing you to lose weight, have optimal energy, eliminate cravings and hunger between meals, support function of your immune system while enjoying good health and vitality. Why do I need a Nutrition and Lifestyle coach?
A C.H.E.K. (Corrective Holistic Exercise Kinesiology), Nutrition and Lifestyle Coach is certified by the renowned C.H.E.K. Institute in San Diego, California. Your C.H.E.K. Nutrition and Lifestyle Coach is trained to closely evaluate your current nutritional habits, exercise program, stress levels, sleep patterns and more. Together, you and your coach will map out a comprehensive, step by step plan that moves you towards optimal fitness, health and well being, allowing you to feel more energetic, lose or maintain a healthy weight and achieve good health and a sense of well being. Working with a C.H.E.K. NLC coach brings you faster results, helps you stay motivated and dedicated to your program and allows you to understand how to successfully implement the program that is right for you! Some C.H.E.K. practitioners have additional training and certification as Metabolic Typing Advisors through the Metabolic Typing Education Center in La Jolla, California. This allows them to identify a more specific nutritional protocol based on an extensive Metabolic Typing appraisal which addresses your unique biochemistry. When you eat according to your individualized Metabolic Type, it allows your body to attain better balance, utilizing more of your food as energy and having less of it stored as bodyfat. In addition your blood sugar is more stable, you feel more energetic and your mood and sense of well being improves. Your C.H.E.K. Nutrition and Lifestyle Coach will guide you every step of the way on your journey to optimal health, wellness and vitality!
How does it work?
- Register to start your Nutrition and Lifestyle Coaching program by contacting us. Please note: full payment "for Metabolic Typing Appraisal" must be received prior to the start of the program.
- Once registered, you will receive the C.H.E.K. Nutrition and Lifestyle questionnaire and a computer link to the on-line Metabolic Typing appraisal to be completed at home at your convenience. Please allow some time to experiment with your reactions to certain foods in order to accurately fill out the questionnaire. Family members and close friends are beneficial when it comes to identifying characteristics of your personality for accurate answers to the questionnaire. If you have any questions regarding the questionnaires, please call your NLC Coach/Metabolic Typing Advisor.
- Once the questionnaires are complete, send the C.H.E.K. questionnaire to your advisor for evaluation. The Metabolic Typing appraisal is sent by you via the internet to Health Excel, (the company responsible for Metabolic Typing analysis). If you do not have a computer and or internet access, you may fill out a hard copy of the appraisal and your advisor will input it for a fee.
- Once complete, the results will be sent to your advisor for evaluation.
- Make an appointment with your NLC Coach/Metabolic Typing Advisor to review your results and devise a plan of action that will guide you step by step towards better nutrition and exercise habits and a healthy more balanced lifestyle.
- Set up weekly appointments with your NLC Coach/Metabolic Typing Advisor so that you stay on track, building on each successful outcome while continuing to fine tune all areas of your program. Number of sessions needed will vary from person to person, however a minimum of 3-4 sessions is recommended to get the most benefit from the program.
- Your NLC Coach/Metabolic Typing Advisor is there to support you and answer your questions on your journey to good health and well being.
- It is recommended that you schedule regular review sessions as needed to keep you motivated and progressing towards your goals. Please note that Metabolic Type retesting is strongly recommended 3 months after your initial test and every 6 months or so after your 2nd test. This is due to the fact that your Metabolic type may shift from what is known as your "Functional Metabolic Type", (the type you are presently functioning under), towards your "Genetic Type", (the type you were born with), as your body starts to move towards optimal health and wellness.

- A comprehensive Nutrition and Lifestyle assessment
- A complete Metabolic Typing appraisal to reveal your Metabolic dominance
- A customized program that addresses your fitness, health and wellness goals (program design extra)
- A customized listing of foods correct for your specific Metabolic Type.
- E-mail or telephone support during your program as questions arise, (please note calls over 15 min or lengthy e-mails incur additional charges)
