Healthy Weight Loss

Nutrition and Lifestyle Coaching for Health Weight Loss! 

This past spring I completed my certification as an Advanced Metabolic Typing Advisor and as a Level one - CHEK Nutrition and Lifestyle Coachthrough the renowned C.H.E.K. Institute in San Diego, California and I can honestly say that it was some of the most valuable and applicable training I have ever attended in my life, (and believe me, I have attended a lot of workshops, conferences and certifications throughout my 21 years as a fitness professional and corrective exercise specialist). Adding this fundamental service to the personal training and pilates private training that I currently offer my clients, allows for a much more holistic approach to their fitness, health and well-being. Through evaluation of their current nutritional status, exercise program, stress levels, sleep patterns and more, I design a customized program that allows them to reach their ideal weight, feel more energetic and alive, minimize or free themselves of aches and pains and reduce their levels of stress.

As someone who has struggled with my own weight throughout most of my life, I feel like I have finally found a program that really works without any gimmicks, starvation or temporary quick fixes. Like many others, I have tried a lot of different programs where I would experience temporary success, only to later fail miserably due to what I was conditioned to believe was "just my lack of willpower". What I now realize, is that it was not me who failed the program, but the actual program that failed me and that diets just do not work! Since discovering the C.H.E.K. NLC program and eating according to my unique Metabolic Type, managing my stress more effectively, fine tuning my workouts, along with other areas, I have lost 20 lbs, have much more energy, have stabilized my blood sugar and moods and have reduced my acid reflux! It is only by feeding the body the correct types and amounts of nutritious whole foods that you can fine-tune your metabolism to achieve your optimal metabolic rate. When you give your body the right foods and the right macronutrient or "fuel mix", (the right ratio of fats, carbohydrates and protein for your unique metabolic type), you convert more of your food into energy and less into fat.

My goal is to now help others who struggle with their weight, have low energy, poor immune function and do not feel they are reaching their full potential. Through effective coaching I am able to help clients implement the program that’s right for them and to keep them motivated along the way, greatly improving their rate of success when it comes to reaching their health and fitness goals!

On a final note, this program is not only about weight loss, but learning how to live a healthy, energetic life full of vitality. That is our birthright! The C.H.E.K.
